JustScripture.com - Coming, Lord willing, in the Spring/Summer of 2007
The plans for this project include:
- A complete web-based index of the Bible
- An AJAX/PHP script, freely available to all, which will allow you to share the Bible and the Bible only on your blog, website, forum, etc.
- A small publishing house to put out "Scripture Sets" on a wide variety of topics, each containing stories directly from the Bible, verses arranged "line upon line" and questions inspired by the Bible with answers directly from God's Word itself. Absolutely no private interpretations.
- As God leads and as more time is able to be devoted to this project, the plan is also to put together a complete "Scriptural Commentary" where, instead of man's words used to explain the Bible, the Bible itself will be used.
Statement of Conviction:
It has become my strong personal conviction that no one should seek to interpret the Bible. It needs no help. All truths, whether simple or deep, are plainly revealed to the diligent seeker. My conviction, and the inspiration for this project, is the knowledge that no one human has all truth and, instead of relying on my own understandings, I humbly choose to lay them aside and accept what the Bible says, just as it says it. There have been many times where what the Bible says has contrasted, even sharply, with my own understandings and it has been those times which have taught me that my understandings, my faith, must be solidly grounded in truth, in God's Word.
This conviction guides and by God's grace will always guide the work at JustScripture.com. I believe firmly in our individuality in religion, in our individual accountability to God for our faith. My object is to present plainly the wonderful truths of God's Word just as they are presented in God's Word itself and to then follow the counsel of scripture, to compare line upon line and precept upon precept. From there, it is your responsibility, my dear readers, to make your own choice, with no pressure or bias put upon you. Choose ye this day whom you will serve.
As God touches your heart, if you have an interest in being a part of this project, contact me. I look forward to hearing from you.
